Join us for two amazing weeks of Marine Science adventures! Campers will take a look back at marine creatures of the past as they dig for fossils at the Aurora Fossil Museum. They will explore the coastal waters as they cruise along the river and creeks in kayaks and canoes while on an overnight camping adventure to Camp Caroline. Campers will perform water quality test, collect creatures from the river, go fishing and crabbing, dissect squid, and so much more. Camper will also explore the world around the salt water go bird watch, track mammals, and handle the friendly reptiles and amphibians that live in the Don Lee Nature Hut.
Camper will explore the diversity, life, habitat, and anatomy of fish through collection, fishing, and dissection. Campers will also take a trip on a Duke Marine Lab research vessel to collect fish and marine invertebrates, visit the NC Maritime Museum, explore a barrier island beach, and spend a night at the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores.
This two week program will also allow campers to spend more time enjoying regular camp activities such as sailing and swimming.
