Nature Staff

Environmental Educator/Naturalist


Qualifications:

  • Meet all the general characteristics of all staff members
  • Skills and experience in leading environmental awareness activities
  • A strong background in environmental awareness concerns and in general marine science issues
  • Ability to communicate this philosophy and knowledge to children and youth

Responsible To: Environmental Education Coordinator

General Responsibilities:

  • To plan and conduct a program of environmental and nature awareness for campers and staff.
  • To provide prime leadership for marine science camps and all special environmental programs

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Plan and promote a series of nature awareness activities that camper groups may sign up for each day.
  • Serve as a general resource person in environmental concerns and questions.
  • Organize and promote the use of a nature center facility at Camp Don Lee.
  • Call attention to our environment.
