Marine Science Camp - Squid
Do you want to be a marine biologist someday exploring our beautiful oceans and beaches? Well this may just be the camp for you!
This one week session is an introducation to the fascinating world of Marine Science for campers having completed grades 3-5. These Marine Science Campers will have amazing and unique hands-on experiences and focus on exploring the life and habitat of marine invertibrates.
Ever been on a research vessel? Well here's your chance to sample the ocean with a trawl net and dredge. Campers will also take a trip on a Duke Marine Lab research vessel to collect fish and marine inverts. Campers will also visit the NC Maritime Museum, explore a barrier island beach, and spend a night at the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. Don't worry; we will still go sailing, swimming, make crafts and do all the other great stuff camp has to offer!
It's going to be a great week of exciting adventures and discoveries for those interested in exploring the the big blue ocean!
