Are you ready to do some serious sailing? This program is for the camper who wants to excel at sailing. In this program, campers will spend approximately 4-5 hours each day at the waterfront area. Each camper will be working to complete or make advancement in the US Sailing Small Boat Certification Book. There is hands-on instruction in rigging/unrigging, sailing, and points of sail on Sunfish and Flying Scots. There are also classroom workshops on safety, weather, sail theory, sail trim, right-of-way, and racing. If you are a beginner or advanced sailor who is serious about learning the exciting sport of sailing, this is the program for you! Solo sailing will become a goal for each participant. While sailing is the main focus of the week, there is limited time to do other camp activites such as, swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, and cooking in the woods.
